These are soft fluid filled swellings between the toes rather than true cysts. Often the cause is unknown but they can be caused by something, such as grass seed, penetrating the skin. Canine interdigital cysts are often difficult to clear up and are prone to recur on a regular basis especially the ones not been caused by a foreign body.

The first thing to do is to make sure there is no obvious sign of anything having entered the skin, such as grass seed, then bathe the area with Garlic Juice to clean away any dust or dirt and protect the area. Garlic & Fenugreek tablets are used very effectively to treat minor infections of this kind and should be given at the treatment dose until the cysts have completely disappeared. In cases where they recur regularly it is advisable to continue to give the lower maintenance dose as a preventative measure and this will considerably reduce the frequency of recurrence.
