Why a skin campaign? Skin conditions are one of the most problematic areas in dogs and cats and we are inundated for advice about this, particularly when the weather starts to become warmer. So a couple of years ago we launched our first ‘Happy In My Skin’ campaign to raise awareness that there is help out there and most importantly, to help those pets who were suffering.
After last year’s skin campaign we surveyed our customers who purchased products for a skin related condition, and after listening to valuable feedback we have now identified not one but three key areas of irritation. So for this year’s skin campaign we have stepped it up a notch, and over the next month we’ll identify the 3 most common skin conditions and give you handy tips, advice & product information in the hope to help even more pets rid their skin condition whatever its trigger. Commencing on 18th May, Dorwest’s licensed medicines Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets and Mixed Vegetable Tablets will again be available as a “Skin Twin Pack” with 20% off rrp for treating severe irritation, the most common complaint often typified by ‘itching, gnawing and sore red patches’, and we’re delighted to say an impressive 91% of customers who purchased the skin twin packs last year, said they would purchase again for their pets skin condition!! Plus we will also have natural solutions for 2 further problematic skin areas, which is skin with ‘mild irritation and hot to the touch’ and ‘dry, scurfy skin and hair loss’. Our brilliant advice team will also be on hand to talk through specific pet issues customers may have on the telephones, show stand and via social media.
To help promote the campaign, we are also introducing our #happyinmyskin Facebook photo competition, looking for dogs and cats which are truly happy in their skin, enjoying themselves outdoors. Dorwest isn’t hankering for the straightest, sparkliest gnashers – just a joyful canine or feline! The winning snapshot will receive a wonderful dog-friendly weekend break for two in a lodge at Highlands End Holiday Park, courtesy of West Dorset Leisure Holidays, www.wdlh.co.uk. Highlands End is the perfect destination for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast, with stunning panoramic coastal views as seen in the Broadchurch TV series. What’s more ten runners-up will be awarded an awesome ‘Happy in My Skin’ twin pack, the competition commences on May 18th and runs until June 12th.
“Naturally” this makes Dorwest the ideal choice for pets’ with skin problems this summer, so what are you waiting for, join us in the fight against skin conditions, get shopping and get snapping!
