Dorwest is proud to sponsor Team GB swimmer Harry Stewart at the 2024 Paralympics, due to take place in Paris from 28th August.
Born close to Dorwest HQ, Harry has already had a fantastic year, winning Gold at the European Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, Gold in Berlin at the European Championships, multi-classification Bronze at the world series event in Aberdeen and of course securing the Para Swimming National title in London at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships.
Bridport-based dog lover Harry has been using Dorwest for his dog Mila, and we are delighted to support Harry with a donation and Dorwest products.
Harry Stewart, who only turned 20 in May this year, will race in the S14 category for intellectually impaired athletes as he has Asperger’s syndrome. The condition is an autism spectrum disorder and is characterised by difficult with perceptive skills and social interaction. Stewart is formerly a member of Bridport Barracudas, South Dorset Tornadoes and West Dorset Swimming Club, and more recently Plymouth Leander Swimming Club.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks and months as we support and follow Harry in his first Paralympic Games, in Paris! Harry’s first race is on Monday 2nd September at 09:24am GMT.
You can also follow Harry’s journey through his Instagram page via @HarryStewartt.
Managing Director Jo Boughton-White says:
