We’re getting very excited at Dorwest HQ for Crufts 2022, so thought this would be a good chance to introduce ourselves before we see you all in a few weeks! 

Whether you’ve spoken to one of our Customer Advisers on the phones or are in contact with someone in the team via email, you can now put a name to the face.  

Name: Jo Boughton-White 

Job role: Managing Director 

Pets: 4 naughty whippets, Elsie (12), Hilda (10), Katniss (6) and Betsy (2) 

Breed looking forward to seeing at Crufts: I am really looking forward to meeting a Bavarian Mountain Hound and also hoping for a cuddle with a Cardigan Corgi – after all, who doesn’t like a cuddly Cardi! 

Name: Ben Boughton-White 

Job role: Operations Director 

Pets: 4 Whippets, Elsie, Hilda, Katniss and Betsy 

Breed looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Borzoi! I love hounds and we’ve always had whippets so I’d love to meet a bigger, crazier, hairier hound – and Borzois look like a lot of fun, but probably too big for our current pack.

Pets: Miniature Smooth Dachshund called Molly 

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: All the hound breeds but especially the Mini & Standard Daxi’s – I adore the breed – all shapes, sizes, colour’s & coats 😊 Bloodhounds & Bassets– I just adore a hound, and these are gorgeous !

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: My favourite breed to see at Crufts is definitely the Afghan hounds. I love watching all the prep that goes in to keeping their coats shiny and beautiful before entering the show ring.

Pets: Loki (Staffy x English Bull Terrier), 2 horses (Xena and Murphy), and 2 Guinea pigs (Merry and Pippin) 

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Leonbergers – I just think they are gorgeous and can be so gentle despite their size.  They usually give some of the best cuddles.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: The Large Münsterländer’s are so beautiful and kind natured. I’d love to add one of these to my brood one day! Old English Sheepdog. I’ve wanted one of these since I was little!

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: There’s so many I love! English Bulldogs – A close to my own French Bulldog, but I have always had a huge soft spot for English Bulldogs 😊 But I absolutely love large breeds like English Mastiffs and Newfoundland’s with their smooshy faces (please come say hello!!)

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: I love Staffies and their wonderful temperament. Since my son Max was born, Lottie’s motherly protective instincts have been really strong and shows the endless qualities that they possess – I wish they would show more of this breed at Crufts.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Pomeranian – because they are cute & funny.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Jack Russell – they are my favourite breed alongside Golden Retrievers. Jack Russells are as bright as a button, they enjoy being trained and love to please their owners – they are ace!😊

Pets: Japanese Spitz called Sumo (the Wrestler) and a long haired white and black cat called Monnie (Marilyn Monroe). 

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Sky Terriers… they look like magical creatures from the Never Ending Story! & Dalmatians are always beautiful.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: I’d love to meet a Swedish Vallhund! They’re just a big dog in a small body with the cutest big ears.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Siberian Husky, I find them the most beautiful dog breed and remind me so much of a gentle wolf if there is a thing. One day I would love to own one to join my collection of Jack Russell’s.

Breed most looking forward to seeing at Crufts: Afghan Hound – My stepmom is a hairdresser, she used to have a beautiful Afghan Hound with an impeccable coat, I’d come home from school, and he’d be on the sofa getting a blow dry! Also, as a child I loved listening to Richard Briars on cassette tape narrate What A Mess.

Breed I’m looking forwards to seeing at Crufts: Old English Sheep Dog because they’re such beautiful dogs. The farm near me used to own one and it always used to be running around the garden of the farm house when we passed it while walking my dog.
