Amazingly we have continued our award winning streak this year, scooping another at the PetQuip ceremony held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate as part of the PATS pet trade exhibition. Eighteen pet care companies were honoured on Sunday 14 September 2014 in six industry categories and we won the Gold Award in the ‘Supplier of the Year’ category, for our customer service and product support.

And as if that was not enough, one of our Directors Mary Boughton MBE won the Lifetime Achievement Award!  Mary, alongside her husband Tony, has taken Dorwest from strength to strength over the last 50 years and she is involved within the pet and veterinary industry at many levels.  She is a vice-chairman of National Office of Animal Health (NOAH), lectures to veterinary groups and pet care students as well as writing on the use of herbal medicines for companion animals. Outside of her work-based activities Mary has also been a champion for small businesses, and was awarded an MBE for services to business and the community in 2005.

A delighted Mary reacted by saying: “We are only a small company so to pick up two awards from such an illustrious international organisation like PetQuip is wonderful. I believe it’s recognition for the connection we have with animals and the passion we show as a team. It’s an honour to receive a lifetime achievement.”

We were lso highly commended for ourr new Oatmeal Advance Shampoo, a dermo-calming hypoallergenic SLS free shampoo, in the grooming product category in PATS New Product Showcase.
