Over the next couple of weeks, in the run up to Crufts 2016, we are going to be running a series of blogs about the staff who will be working on the stand this year. Crufts is one of the chances that our staff get to get out and meet our wonderful customers face-to-face. Many of you will have spoken to them over the course of the year or perhaps had an email from them – now you get to put a name to the face.
Position/Job Role: Business Operations Manager
Favourite product to recommend: Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets – it’s such a great all round product and every dog can benefit from using it on a regular basis, as well as it being a licensed medicine for the treatment of specific conditions!
What pets do you own: Four whippets – Margaret (9), Elsie (6), Hilda (4), Katniss (6 months)
Most rewarding part of the job: Helping people help their animals – especially when owners come to us after trying everything else and they find something that helps a long standing problem. And of course to hear their success stories afterwards!
Expertise: I’m more behind the scenes on a day-to-day basis but I’d like to think I’m a solid all-rounder. I’m also chief coffee maker – if you want a latte I’m your guy!
Greatest achievement: Completing two sprint distance triathlons in a day – not the longest distance but for someone who hates swimming it seemed like an insurmountable challenge. It was mentally and physically difficult but I was pleased to overcome it.
Hobbies: Cycling – you’ll find me out on my bike if I’m not working or with my family.
Bad habits: Too many to list here – I’m sure Jo can give you a heads up on the worst ones.
