Wheatgerm Oil capsules are a natural source of Vitamin E given to maintain fertility in dogs and cats, both male and female. The recommended maintenance quantity should be given to both male and female animals for one week before mating, increasing to double this amount on the day before and the actual day of mating. Continue to supplement the diet of females for three weeks following mating to protect against abortion or absorption.

Vitamin E is also necessary to maintain the skin, coat and nervous system in good health so may be given as a year round addition to the diet where it also assists in removing harmful free radicals from the system. Wheatgerm Oil should not be given at the same time as Cod Liver Oil capsules as the benefits of the oils will be reduced if given together; however these two oils can be given on alternate days to provide a range of benefits.
